As the 77th President of the Shamrock Club of Columbus it is my pleasure to welcome you to our organization. The Shamrock Club was founded in 1936 to host the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Mass for St. Patrick in Columbus, Ohio.
Since that time the Club has evolved into Central Ohio’s Largest Irish Organization hosting events and activities year round.
Our facility at 60 West Castle Road has a Pub that is open at 5 pm and on meeting Sundays. We have a spacious meeting hall with Pub that is available for rentals as well as an outside Patio.
Our other activities include three dart leagues; Men, Women and Coed. We also have summer horseshoe and corn hole leagues.
In June we will have an all day Music Festival/Family Day and in July a SummerFeis which attracts 400 Irish Dancers from around the United States.
In August the Shamrock Club participates in the Dublin Irish Festival with our volunteers who work our beer and whiskey concession. We also sponsor a Dart Tournament.
We have Music in The Pub at the Shamrock Club several times a month as well as a Corn Roast in August, a Harvest Festival on the first Sunday in November and a Christmas Concert in December.
But the highlight of our year is always St. Patrick’s Day and the Mass for St. Patrick followed by the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Family Reunion all always held on March 17th. The Mass will be at St. Patrick’s Church and the Irish Family Reunion is being held at Battelle Grand Ballroom at the Columbus Convention Center. We will start the parade at St. Patrick Church. The parade will then proceed South on Grant Street to Broad Street. West on Broad Street to High Street and North on High Street to the Convention Center.
All are welcome at the Shamrock Club and membership is open to anyone with a interest in Irish Culture. Please see our membership page for information our contact our office.
Welcome to the Shamrock Club!
